Beth had me at “A Midnight Summer’s Dream.” That’s what I want my wedding weekend to feel like”, she said over our phone consultation. I knew I’d have to create something lush and romantic.
From light and dusty pinks to corals, and touches of deeper reds, surrounded by all kinds of greens, sometimes a bit moody, sometimes a bit mossy, the watercolor florals were placed somewhat asymmetrically in the shape of a wreath. To elevate the look and feel of the suite and bring out that lush and romantic vibe, we paired the florals with a fully hand-calligraphed suite and a double-thick Crane Lettra paper stock for all inserts. For the envelopes, we chose a gorgeous dark green to contrast with the soft colors inside and I hand-calligraphed all guest addresses in white ink.
My favorite part has to be the Welcome Note which included a fully hand-painted map of the stunning Cedar Lakes Estate. We also created Beth + Adam’s programs, escort cards, and, another favorite, their dinner menu with watercolor illustrations of the main dishes, perfectly paired with calligraphy displaying each guest’s name on top of the menu.
